Amit obtained her Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from The Wright Institute and is currently an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist.

Amit has a passion for working with college students and adults that are struggling with issues such as anxiety, past trauma, relationship/dating issues, life transitions and self esteem work. Amit helps her clients navigate the parts of their life that are feeling particularly difficult and offers support in exploring what type of relationship they want both with themselves and with others.

Amit believes that her clients are the experts of their own life, and with support, can feel empowered to live it just the way they want. Amit takes an integrative approach to therapy, which means that she views each person as a unique individual who needs more than a one size fits all approach. Amit draws mostly from relational, interpersonal psychotherapy, client-centered, solution-focused, and cognitive behavioral therapy modalities. Amit’s clients describe her as warm, supportive, compassionate, and collaborative. They also mention that she asks thoughtful questions to support them in diving deeper.
